The crane hook is a crucial component in lifting machinery, usually classified based on the materials used, manufacturing process, purpose, and other related factors.
Different types of crane hooks may have different shapes, production processes, operating methods, or other characteristics. Different types of crane hooks can usually meet different usage needs, rated loads, size and category requirements.
Single hook and double hook
As the name suggests, the main difference between these two types is the number of hooks. When the lifting load does not exceed 75 tons, it is suitable to use a single hook, which is simple and easy to use. When the lifting load exceeds 75 tons, it is suitable to use double hooks, which have a relatively higher load-bearing capacity.
Forged hooks and sandwich hooks
The biggest difference between forged hooks and sandwich hooks lies in the manufacturing method. The forged hook is made of a single high-quality low-carbon steel, and after slow cooling, the hook can have good stress resistance (usually ranging from 16Mn to 36MnSi). The manufacturing method of the sandwich hook is slightly more complex than that of the forged hook, which is made of several steel plates riveted together, with relatively higher stress resistance and safety performance. Even if some components of the hook are damaged, it can continue to operate. Users can choose a single or a pair of sandwich hooks to use according to their needs.
Closed and semi closed hooks
When users need to consider matching accessories with hooks, they can choose enclosed and semi enclosed crane hooks to ensure a smooth and safe lifting process. The accessories of enclosed crane hooks are relatively less easy to use and more time-consuming, but their safety performance and load-bearing capacity are also relatively higher. Semi enclosed hooks are safer than standard hooks and easier to install and disassemble than enclosed hooks.
Electric rotating hook
Electric rotary hook is a precision equipment that can improve the maneuverability and work efficiency of cranes during container lifting and transportation. These hooks can also keep the cargo stable when rotating during operation, even when moving multiple containers simultaneously in a limited space. These hooks are not only convenient to operate, but also quite efficient.
