Tips for running in period of gantry crane:
1. As cranes are special machinery, operators should receive training and guidance from the manufacturer, have a full understanding of the structure and performance of the machine, and gain certain experience in operation and maintenance. The product maintenance manual provided by the manufacturer is a necessary document for operators to operate the equipment. Before operating the machine, be sure to read the user and maintenance manual and follow the instructions for operation and maintenance.
2. Pay attention to the workload during the running in period, and the workload during the running in period should generally not exceed 80% of the rated workload. And suitable workload should be arranged to prevent overheating caused by long-term continuous operation of the machine.
3. Pay attention to regularly observing the indications on various instruments. If any abnormalities occur, the vehicle should be stopped in a timely manner to eliminate them. Work should be stopped until the cause is identified and the problem is resolved.
4. Pay attention to regularly checking the lubricating oil, hydraulic oil, coolant, brake fluid, fuel level and quality, and pay attention to checking the sealing of the entire machine. During the inspection, it was found that there was an excessive shortage of oil and water, and the cause should be analyzed. At the same time, the lubrication of each lubrication point should be strengthened. It is recommended to add lubricating grease to the lubrication points during the running in period for each shift (except for special requirements).
5. Keep the machine clean, adjust and tighten loose components in a timely manner to prevent further wear or loss of components due to looseness.
6. At the end of the running in period, mandatory maintenance should be carried out on the machine, and inspection and adjustment work should be carried out, while paying attention to the replacement of oil.
Some customers lack common knowledge about using cranes, or neglect the special technical requirements for the new machine's running in period due to tight construction schedules or the desire to obtain profits as soon as possible. Some users even believe that the manufacturer has a warranty period, and if the machine breaks down, the manufacturer is responsible for repairing it. So the machine was overloaded for a long time during the running in period, leading to frequent early failures of the machine. This not only affects the normal use of the machine and shortens its service life, but also affects the progress of the project due to machine damage. Therefore, the use and maintenance of the running in period of cranes should be given sufficient attention.
