The installation of the crane starts from the unpacking. After the debugging is qualified, the project acceptance is completed. Due to the fact that cranes are special equipment, they have the characteristic of high danger. Therefore, safety work is particularly important in the installation of cranes, and special attention should be paid to the following aspects:
1. Cranes are mostly mechanical equipment with large structures and complex mechanisms, which are often difficult to transport as a whole. They are often transported separately and assembled as a whole at the site of use. Therefore, correct installation is necessary to reflect the overall qualification of the crane and to inspect the integrity of the entire crane.
2. Cranes operate on the tracks of the user’s site or building. 3. The safety requirements for cranes are extremely high, and the safety devices must be complete and installed correctly to meet the technical requirements of reliability, flexibility, and accuracy.
4. According to the importance of crane safety work, in order to meet the operational requirements of various loads after the crane is put into use, it is necessary to conduct no-load, full load, and overload tests on the crane according to regulations. And these tests must be conducted in the operating state or specific static state of the crane mechanism. This requires a load test after the installation of the crane before it can be handed over for use.
5. Flexible components such as steel wire ropes and many other components of cranes will experience some elongation, deformation, loosening, etc. after initial loading. This also requires repair, correction, adjustment, handling, and fastening after the installation and loading test run of the crane. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out a series of tasks such as crane installation, trial operation, and adjustment in order to ensure the safe and normal use of the crane in the future.
