Customized Double Girder Beam Portal Gantry Crane

Double girder gantry crane’s two main girders are mounted on two outriggers to form a gantry shape. It does not have a separate walking platform, the upper part of the main girder is used as a walking platform, and the railings and trolley conductive carriages are installed on the upper cover of the main girder. Walking platforms, railings, and ladders of the double girder gantry cranes are designed in accordance with relevant safety regulations and design specifications.

This kind of crane runs on the ground track and is mainly used for handling and installation operations in open-air storage yards, power stations, ports and railway cargo terminals. Compared with single-girder gantry cranes, the customized double girder beam portal gantry cranes are more suitable for projects with large quantities and long construction periods. It greatly improves the production capacity and productivity of loading and unloading operations, and is the key lifting equipment for the quality and efficiency of packaging construction.

Gantry cranes are basically installed outdoors. Due to frequent exposure to wind, rain and sunlight, the main structure and components of the double girder gantry crane will be damaged or deformed due to corrosion, and the relevant electrical components and equipment will also be prone to aging. This not only affects the working efficiency of the gantry crane, but also may cause safety accidents in the work. Therefore, it is necessary to maintain the gantry crane frequently.

The working performance and service life of each mechanism of gantry crane largely depend on lubrication. First, check the hook and wire rope of the crane to see if there are broken wires, cracks and serious corrosion, and clean and lubricate them. Secondly, check the pulley block, drum and pulley every month to determine whether there are cracks, and whether the pressing plate bolts and drum base bolts are tightened. When the drum shaft is worn to about 5%, it should be replaced. When the wear of the groove wall reaches 8% and the internal wear reaches 25% of the inner diameter of the wire rope, it should be replaced. In addition, the bolts of the reducer should be checked frequently to ensure that they are tightened.
